Hello Trailside!

Help Shape the Future of After School for Our Kids

How would you like to have a wonderful place to send your child after school; a place where they get to run, play, create, learn, explore, and develop friendships and life skills?

This is what we would like to bring to Trailside! An after school program geared to helping kids stay active and develop in these core areas - Movement and Agility, Music, Creativity, STEM, and Life Skills.

We are looking to assess the need and interest for an after school program. Starting a program is a community effort, to which we are calling for your help and input.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

  1. Take this survey to indicate your interest in an after school program and which club emphasises or activities your kids would enjoy most.
  2. Help us recruit the greatest after school program director and staff Utah County has to offer :)

Our Approach

Our Teaching Aims

We get that your kids will have been at school all day. Our activities will be designed to keep them engaged, moving, and having fun. If they need quiet time, we also have a calm area they are free to go anytime.

  • We want the kids excited to come each day!
  • Ensure each child feels seen, heard, and acknowledged
  • Help kids foster genuine friendships
  • Pay attention to what strengths they have and encourage their aptitudes
  • Spark their creativity and curiosity
  • Be positive, empathetic, encouraging, and helpful
  • Reinforce the Trailside motto,  ‘Be safe, Be Kind, Keep it Clean’

Our after school program will help kids ...

  • Increase daily physical activity
  • Get more time playing sports they love
  • Foster STEM skills
  • Experiment with various creative and artistic mediums
  • Build creative confidence
  • Learn the language of music
  • Promote friendships and life skills
  • Spark curiosity and discover their interests
  • Feel a part of something special

We believe providing early exposure to a wide variety of experiences encourages children to follow their curiosity and discover interests early on so they gravitate to what brings them joy and can feel confident in as they grow.
